For the second sculpture, the teacher had the model pose in a standing position. It was interesting trying to figure out how to build a standing sculpture out of clay. We didn't use any internal framing or structure. Instead, we had clay attached to her legs that kept her up.

I enjoyed this one more than the first sculpture. The standing position was more challenging but more interesting too.
As you can see, I totally gave up on doing realistic hair and went full sci-fi! It reminds me of the characters on Star Wars. The face is the hardest to do. Just getting to a place where it doesn't look completely off-putting is a challenge. I was pretty happy with where I got to with the time I had in class.
