I came to art later in life, when my children needed less of my time. I started with classes that concentrated on figure painting and then after a few years I decided to try still lifes and found that I really liked it. At first it was intimidating learning something new but the more I stuck with it, the more I realized how much I enjoyed it. What I love about painting is the use of color and how it can add life, energy and complexity to something as simple as an apple.
